Düsseldorf-based lawyer, Dr. Klaus-Peter Weber becomes third Supervisory Board member

The Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board of primion Technology AG have appointed the Düsseldorf-based lawyer, Dr. Klaus-Peter Weber as a new member of the Supervisory Board. He takes over the position from Heinz Roth, who stepped down as a member of the Supervisory Board on 31st October 2011. The Chair of the Supervisory Board is Juan Miguel Sucunza, the other member being Eduardo Unzu.

The 44 year old solicitor has extensive experience working with globally active corporations and institutions, e.g. Aventis/Hoechst AG, EON AG and the Allianz AG/Dresdner Bank AG, to whom he acted as adviser during his five years with the international law firm, Shearman & Sterling. After completion of his Master of Laws in the USA, Dr. Weber was also admitted as an Attorney-at Law in New York.

Since September 2004, Dr. Weber has been a Corporate Counsel at Deutsche Post DHL with executive responsibility, where he has gained significant global experience as adviser to the group’s senior management. His core activities cover national and international corporate law, particularly in the areas of M&A, anti-trust and corporate financing as well as capital markets.

In addition, Dr. Weber also lectures at various, well-known institutions, such as the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg. His career includes stints at the German Embassy in Madrid as well as at Daimler Chrysler AG in Stuttgart.

Already during his undergraduate days, Dr. Weber acquired professional knowledge and experience in various countries, both inside and outside of Europe, such as France, Spain, India and North America. His doctoral thesis was entitled: "Insider laws and protection of capital markets: Theories of liability in the USA, Europe and Germany".
